ALAEM supports both basic and clinical lung research to seek better treatments, cures and ways of preventing lung diseases. ALAEM provides research grants to promising lung researchers early in their careers. The association is involved with a unique project:

RESARCH PROGRAMS

The St. Louis Asthma Clinical Research Center - a component of a national research project initiated by the American Lung Association and the American Thoracic Society to improve the treatment of asthma and eventually find a cure.
