ALA of Missouri volunteers play an important role in helping us work toward our goals: to prevent lung disease and promote lung health. Anyone can be a volunteer. It just takes the willingness to exercise your skills for a good cause. ALA of Missouri volunteers work with staff members to fight disease and improve the lives of people throughout Missouri. Ready to help? Here are just a few of the opportunities available.

Each fall we recognize the importance of tobacco prevention at the grade school level. Volunteers visit various schools throughout Missouri to give an effective, but brief, presentation about the dangers of smoking. 1st, 4th, and 7th grades are targeted for this program. For more information contact Mary Stygar at (314) 645-5505 or mstygar@lungmo.org.
