Chico Asthma Walk a Success!

Over 115 walkers joined the American Lung Association of California, Superior Branch’s Asthma Walk in Chico on May 10, 2003 to “Blow the Whistle on Asthma.” Walkers of 12 corporate and family teams helped to raise awareness and over $8,700 for the fight against asthma. The walk, held at the One-Mile Picnic Area in Bidwell Park, was one of 100 Asthma Walks held nationwide.

The proceeds from this event will help fund research and education efforts to help people control their asthma and to find the cause and cure for this debilitating respiratory disease. It will allow the local Lung Association to continue to provide needed programs and services to the community including Camp SuperStuff, a summer camp for children with asthma.

Redding Asthma Walk

Join the American Lung Association of California, Superior Branch’s second annual “Blow the Whistle on Asthma” Asthma Walk Fundraiser in Redding! This exciting event will be held October 4, 2003 at the Lake Redding Park Pavilion in Redding. By participating in this fun three-mile walk, you can help the American Lung Association:
